Ion Energy Solutions evolved into a sophisticated, data-led water optimization platform for affordable housing, but its name and brand identity did not reflect its focus or market leadership. The company needed a clear, authoritative brand that reflected its role as a disruptive force in water efficiency – not energy.
Mulberry rebranded the company from Ion Energy Solutions to ION, with a forward looking tagline of “Building a Water Positive World.” The repositioning aligns the company directly with its core focus of water optimization via smart data. Mulberry developed a modern identity built around industrial blues (confidence, intelligence, stability) with a subtle red accent symbolizing pinpointed water loss. The chevron graphic reinforces forward movement toward a water positive world.
As part of the rebrand, Mulberry designed and launched a new website that simplified complex technical messaging and clearly articulated ION’s ability to reduce water loss in affordable housing. Mulberry also developed a full suite of communications assets, including case studies, brochures and white papers, trade show booths, email marketing campaigns and more.
