10 Reasons I’ve Stayed at Mulberry for 10 Years

Without a doubt, COVID-19 turned the job market upside down. Over the course of 2021, more than 47 million people quit their jobs, representing 23% of the total U.S. workforce, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). However, it’s important to consider the benefits of staying loyal to your current employer. I’ve been with Mulberry since 2012 and here’s why:

I started as an account executive in 2012 and am now an account director. Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to manage staff and take ownership over several projects.
  2. Familiarity and Stability: Over the past 10 years, I’ve become stable and familiar with my work environment. I’m familiar with company policies, procedures and the organizational culture. This familiarity has provided a sense of comfort and job security.
  3. Travel: During my time with Mulberry, I’ve travelled to London, throughout Canada and countless cities in the U.S., including Sanibel, Fla., Los Angeles, New York, Colorado Springs and more.
  4. Flexibility: I started working in our Chicago office in 2012, but when I decided to re-locate to Dallas in 2015, I was able to stay with the company and work remotely. Little did we know then that the entire world would be remote in 2020.
  5. Challenging Projects: Over the past decade, I’ve taken on several new and challenging projects. As a result, I’ve gained valuable experience and expertise specific to this industry. Engaging in diverse projects within the company has helped enhance my skills and made a significant impact on our success.

I’ve been fortunate to not be faced with the uncertainty associated with job searching and the risk of facing layoffs or downsizing. Job security has provided peace of mind and allows me to focus on my work and professional growth.
